Sir Keir Starmer arrives at Labour Party conference as freebies row persists

The Labour Party conference is under way in Liverpool, but not in the way the prime minister would have hoped, as he continues to try to draw a line under a row over accepting gifts.

Before Sir Keir Starmer even arrived in Liverpool thousands of protesters took to the streets on the periphery of the conference for the UK's first pro-Palestine national march to be staged outside London.
