The previous service was so bad that the grounded leg from the service riser had deteriorated and proper voltage to each leg of this single-family dwelling was showing 140 volts to ground and 100 volts to ground respectively. This is a very dangerous situation and could cause damage to equipment with microprocessors such as televisions, computers, and microwaves.
