"Allah" (الله) is the Arabic word for God in Islam. It is used by Muslims and Arabic-speaking Christians and Jews to refer to the one, supreme God who is believed to be the creator of the universe, all-powerful, all-knowing, and merciful. Here are some key descriptions and attributes associated with Allah in Islamic theology:

1. Tawhid (Oneness of Allah): Allah is absolutely one and indivisible. There is no partner or equal to Him. This concept is central to Islamic belief and is referred to as Tawhid.

2. Al-Rahman and Al-Rahim (The Most Merciful and The Most Compassionate): These are two of Allah's 99 names (Asma ul-Husna) that signify His boundless mercy and compassion toward His creation.

3. Al-Khaliq (The Creator): Allah is the creator of everything that exists, from the smallest atom to the vast universe. Nothing comes into existence without His will.

4. Al-Aleem (The All-Knowing): Allah knows everything, including what is in the hearts of people, their thoughts, and the unseen.

5. Al-Hakim (The Wise): Allah possesses infinite wisdom and makes decisions based on knowledge and justice.

6. Al-Malik (The King): Allah is the sovereign ruler over all that exists. Everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him.

7. Al-Adl (The Just): Allah is fair and just in all His actions and judgments. He rewards good deeds and punishes evil, but He is also forgiving to those who sincerely repent.

8. Al-Qadir (The All-Powerful): Allah has complete control over all things, and nothing can happen without His permission.

9. Al-Ghaffar (The Forgiving): Despite human mistakes and sins, Allah is always ready to forgive those who turn to Him in repentance.

10. Transcendent and Immanent: Allah is beyond human comprehension and transcends all physical attributes, yet He is also close to His creation and knows them intimately.

Muslims believe that Allah communicated His guidance to humanity through prophets, with the final revelation being the Quran, delivered to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Worship in Islam is directed solely to Allah, and any form of idolatry (associating partners with Allah) is considered a grave sin.
