The STRANGEST CONTROVERSY in NFC CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY

At the 1973 NFC Championship at Texas Stadium between the Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings, the game was sold out. However, the only reason it was sold out was because of the actions of one discount store, which did something unusual and unprecedented to try and get the game to be shown locally on TV, which had the Cowboys and the NFL up inn arms, and even lobbying Congress because of it. This is a breakdown of that bizarre controversy
