Movie Costumes Up Close and Exploring the History of Buxton, Eighteenth Century Spa Town Derbyshire

In this video I’m getting close up with movie costumes! I’m visiting the historic Spa town of Buxton in Derbyshire for a brief pop-up regency costume exhibition of seen on screen gowns and military uniforms from recent Napoleonic films and TV series. It was amazing to get right up close to all the details! The exhibition was held in the beautiful 18th century assembly rooms, hosted by The Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust. While I was visiting, the trust very kindly gifted myself and Mr. BLC entry to the Crescent Experience, so please enjoy the additional footage from our trip where we learnt more about this historic spa town, often overlooked in favour of the more glamourous and famous Bath. My thoughts and opinions are my own, but honestly, I was so surprised by the museum – they take you on a VR hot air balloon flight amongst many other fun things to see and do!
