How to Add Text to Charts and Diagrams | ClickCharts Software Tutorial

This ClickCharts video tutorial will show you how to add and move text on your chart or diagram.

You can add text anywhere on your diagram, by clicking on the Text tool on the toolbar, then clicking on your diagram where you would like the text positioned. The text editor will open and you can adjust the font properties, then, type in your text. The text box will automatically expand to display everything that you type in. To change the width of the text box, click outside of it to exit edit mode, then click on it again to select it. Click and drag on a handle to increase or reduce the width of the text box. Double click on the text to edit the text and open the text editor.

To add text to a symbol, double-click on the symbol to open the text editor and enter your text. You can also edit your font, font size, color and justification from here. If you have already typed text, you will need to select the text that you want to change before editing its properties. You can apply different formatting options to a single text box, such as changing the color or emphasis of a single word.

To add text to a connector, click on the Text tool on the toolbar, then click on the connector where you would like the text added. A green highlight will appear which shows where the text will be attached to the connector. Text that is connected to a connector will default to have a white fill behind it. Right-click on text to open the properties and edit the font, fill, or borderline.
To move text on your diagram, click on it to select it, then, click and drag to the new location.
