HINTS AND TIPS #1 BMW R1250GS - OEM Heated grips and seats 🤪

SO what does the heating button do exactly on BMW R1250GS GSA? Well, I will attempt to show you in this video .

The heated grips have 5 levels of heat, 1-5. Level 5 is very warm, so much so that I don't really use it, only to get the heat going! THEN I TURN IT DOWN. You can retrofit them, cost some 400 euros?
Level 0 is OFF

The heated BMW rider and pillion seats were added by me when I specced the bike prior to it being built and cost approx £204. I don't believe that you can retrofit them, due to the wiring implications.

The heat button does 2 things, so its a multifunction button, 1 its a short cut button to access the heating menu and 2, its an on/off button for grips and seats.
Short press=short cut to the heat menu,
long press(3 seconds) on/off switch

NOTE: Heated grips and seat when switched on, ONLY have power to the heating elements when the engine is running to preserve the battery charge .
