Building a Polytunnel Door

Описание к видео Building a Polytunnel Door

Garden Polytunnels are supplied as standard with a single hinged door at the front, which includes a top panel of ventilation net and a lower panel of polythene.
In this video we show you how to build a polytunnel door.
To begin, two timber door legs and three timber cross pieces are screwed together - using corner braces and screws, fix a cross piece between the legs at each end and one in the centre.
Tack the net and polythene panels to each half of the door, getting as much tension as possible on the polythene.
Nail two pieces of timber batten the full width of the door on top of the net and polythene at each end, making sure there is a nail at each side of the joint of the frame to give added stiffness.
Nail two pieces of batten down the door legs. Finally, nail a final batten across the centre cross piece and trim off all excess material around the edges.

For guidance on how to build the door frame and hang the door, please see our 'Hanging a Single Door Frame and Hinged Door on Polytunnel' video on our YouTube channel.
