This lecture which is a part of the University’s 50th Anniversary public lecture series is delivered by Professor Jeffrey Richards from the Department of History at Lancaster University. Jeffrey will explore the role of film in teaching both at school and university level. Jeffrey Richards will draw on his experience of using both documentary and feature films to teach history and examine the benefits and dangers involved.

The University’s history department at Lancaster was established in 1964 and has a reputation for exemplary teaching and outstanding research which ranges widely in time and covers most parts of the globe.
