Tonight’s tale takes us to Birstall, where locals whisper of ghostly hounds known as the Shag Dogs. Near the old pit site, these spectral creatures are said to roam — their eyes glowing red, their mouths shining with a strange blue fire.
Miners once claimed to see them pacing the spoil heaps, guarding something buried deep below. Some say they’re omens of death… others, the restless spirits of pit dogs, forever bound to their masters.
So if you walk here at dusk — and see a faint blue light on the ground — don’t stay to find out.
