On 16th February 2017, publishers Allison and Busby and booksellers Watertones launched the new horror-tinged crime fiction book PURGED, written by a church minister with a taste for the macabre: Peter Laws.

It's the first in a new crime fiction series, following Matt Hunter, and ex-vicar turned atheist academic, who helps the police solve religiously motivated crime. In Purged, he's on the trail of a Christian serial killer, who is obsessed with the ritual of baptism.
