A Wauwatosa woman spent five terrifying hours stranded on top of her car during severe flooding before being rescued by firefighters after TMJ4 News crew members heard her cries for help.

Cara Williamson was swept away by floodwaters at 2:30 a.m. near Concordia Avenue and Menominee River Parkway while trying to move her family's car to higher ground to prevent flood damage.
