Welcome to Season FOUR of "Every Rock Has A Story". This season is all about “Life’s Relationship with the Earth”. Hosted by Dr. Ethan Baxter, Boston College Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences, each 10-15 minute episode conveys the story of a rock with topics spanning oceans, volcanoes, fossils, outer space, climate change and more. The videos are intended for children grades K-5 but they are fun and appropriate for all, including older kids, adults, parents, and teachers. Please "Like" and "Subscribe"! This episode is one of nine filmed during 2023-24 in partnership with the Center for Digital Innovation in Learning made possible by a grant from the Schiller Institute at Boston College. These episodes include a diverse slate of co-hosts and kids who share their own rock stories and observations. In Season Four, we take our show on the road, filming scientists in their laboratories and field sites around the country and the world. Many of the rocks and stories presented would not have been available without support from the National Science Foundation that has funded field excursions around the world and the science of extracting these stories.
