In this horse care vlog, I demonstrate to you exactly how I remove Bot Fly Eggs from my horse's legs with this simple DIY Equestrian Life Hack that I randomly thought of one day after seeing my husband's Stanley Blade lying around.

I've tried a few of the popular things like Vinegar, and a Bot Brush but either of those worked. After days of using the vinegar I gave up and I found the Bot Brush rather tedious and well basically ineffective. Now I know you get a tool called a Bot Knife - and if you have one and it works for you then great by all means but if you don't, this tool is relatively inexpensive compared to a Bot Knife which ranges from R33 ($1.84) to almost R100 ($5.58). Why spend R100 if you don't have to.

You can pick up a pack of Stanley Blades from any hardware store and some arts and crafts stores for around R73 for a pack of 20 - if that's too much you can always go for a 5 pack options for R28.
