Описание к видео Advocacy, Community, and Education —Jenn T. Grace, Candace Waterman, and Jennifer Brown

On today’s episode, Jenn T. Grace and Jennifer Brown have invited Candace Waterman, President & CEO of Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP).

As an authentic leader and servant leader, Candace discusses how she is showing up at this moment, committed to having raw and real conversations, as well as being transparent about her own personal vacillations between being ok, and not at all ok.

Staying present and mission driven through difficulties is not new for Candace, someone who is often the “only” in the room. In the women’s business advocacy and education space, there is particular work to be done, and Candace explains that the current moment should be showing us that social issues left unaddressed turn into civil issues, and those if unaddressed turn into business issues. While others are leading the former, she is in the space of leading business and policy change. This means being open and honest with her woman business owners - particularly the white woman business owners - helping them formulate and develop a cultural inclusion plan for their organizations. This is a component of WIPPs principles of advocacy, community, and education.
