Raag Des | Dekho Sakhi Barsan with Lyrics and Notation | देखो सखी बरसन | We3 | Yatsu 10 years old

“Dekho Sakhi Barasana Ko Aae Badara” (देखो सखि, बरसन को आए बदरा) is in tritaal and based on Raag Des/Desh. Raag Des sounds much like raag Khamaz because it belongs to ‘Khamaz Thaat’.

Type of raag Des is Audava-sampurna. In the Aroha/Ascent, all notes are shuddha, and ‘E and A’ notes are not used. In the Avaroha /Descent, Bb is used.

So the Aroha and Avaroha is as follows:
C D F G B C* – C* Bb A G, F E D, E C
Note: The Aroha/Avaroha, Pakad are different in different books but the basic is the same. The notes are same.

Vadi note is D and Samvadi note is G.
