H1MIN: FG12/50 IR NIGHT VISION

Описание к видео H1MIN: FG12/50 IR NIGHT VISION

Night vision technology was treated with great secrecy in WW2. Their developments were the beginning of modern night vision equipment.

The Fg12/50 was a German scope fielded with an Infrared light that could see in the dark. While not true night vision amplification, it did provide some visibility and advantage as the IR light was invisible to human vision. These scopes were created for land, naval and aviation assets but were developed too late to have any measurable impact.

Also want to thank the Foundation Centre for German Communication and related Technology, who actually got an FG12/50 working again and provided much useful information to the inner workings of this device.
