This week Vince Russo writes his first ever WCW Nitro show and within the first 10 minutes you can tell we're now dealing with a completely new format. A heavier emphasis has been put on promos, backstage interviews, worked shoots and shorter matches. Bret Hart interrupts the opening match to announce he still was his match against Hulk Hogan, but Sting shows up instead to give Bret a shot at the WCW Championship.

On WWF Raw is War The Rock announces that he's going to face Triple H at Survivor Series; Stone Cold Steve Austin has other plans. Vince McMahon announces that Triple H is going to face both Austin and Rock in a triple threat match at the next pay per view, but Rock also has to deal with Mick Foley's mental state when Mankind decides to end the Rock 'n' Sock Connection for good.
