There Was 5 Shaggy Dog Movies - A Shaggy Dog (Franchise) Mini-Retrospective

NOTE: The Shaggy Dog timeline image has a small typo and lists the first movie as "1951" but it's actually 1959. Don't know how that happened.
Do you remember The Shaggy Dog (2006)? That was a reboot of a movie series that began with a black and white comedy in 1959, which gathered two sequels and a completely separate remake/reboot in 1994, and two of the movies are almost impossible to watch. I say we bring this series back and just keep making more content just for the heck of it.


I do not own any of the footage in this video but as this is a video essay discussing these movies in-depth, it is protected under fair use. If you wish to watch The Shaggy Dog (1959), The Shaggy D.A., you may watch them on Disney+. If you wish to watch The Shaggy Dog (2006), you can purchase it on various digital storefronts. If you wish to watch The Return of the Shaggy Dog or The Shaggy Dog (1994), pester Disney to finally upload them to Disney+.
