Dragon Age Inquisition - Class Build - Knight Enchanter 2.0 Support Guide!

This guide is not revolutionary in any way. But I wanted to make sure that my KE Vivienne was as capable as she could be to play the support role I need her to. At first glance, this looks like the same build probably made before, but I hope to point out some specific combos and settings that actually make this perform it's best.

Of course this is just as good as a main character build, and I demonstrate in the video the skill priorities that deal damage but also support my party.

This guide focuses on how to build your class using a combination of standard skills from the Spirit, Inferno, Winter skill trees, and new active and passives from the Knight Enchanter specialization.

With about 15-20 points to place, you can put together a very powerful Support Knight Enchanter that has everything it needs to dominate on the battlefield.

Spirit

Barrier / Elegant Defense (Skill upgrade) / Guardian Spirit / Peaceful Aura / Dispel / Transmute Magic / Rejuvenating Barrier / Revival / Life Ward (Skill upgrade)

Inferno

Immolate / Wildfire (optional upgrade) / Flashpoint / Clean Burn

Winter

Fade Step / Winter Stillness

Knight Enchanter

Spirit Blade / Combat Clarity / Fade Shield / Knight-Protector / Fade Cloak / Decloaking Blast (Skill upgrade) / Veiled Riposte / Disruption Field / Resurgence

The following skills should be set to Preferred in the Tactics settings. Barrier, Spirit Blade, and Revival. This ensures that the AI Vivienne attacks with Spirit Blade, which keeps her in range of the melee fighter, so she can spam Barrier. And should anyone go down, she'll prioritize Revival.

Also remember to set the Behavior settings to Follow Vivienne

Our main goal here is to spam Barrier and Spirit Blade. Barrier of course is going to protect our allies, and Spirit Blade, while doing great damage, also will lower our cooldowns thanks to the passive Clean Burn, making it very easy to cast Barrier even more!

Use Fade Step and Fade Cloak to avoid damage, reposition yourself, and even deal damage to enemies.

Immolate is a good skill to take, but should be swapped for Resurgence for tougher fights like Dragons and other boss enemies.

Dispel is a fantastic skill that makes some of the toughest rifts more manageable, even on Nightmare difficulty.

You may think that taking Winter Stillness is pointless, but you'd be surprised how often it's actually on. Watch the video carefully and even while swinging away with Spirit Blade, Winter Stillness is still active!

And finally, while not required, I recommend equipping Healing Mist grenades for your support character. This makes healing your allies, and even reviving them, a quick and simple task :)
