This sermon confronts one of the greatest dangers facing believers today: man-made doctrines that twist, dilute, or pervert the Word of God. The Scriptures warn us that confusion does not come from the Most High, but from earthly, human, and sensual thinking. James 3:15–16 reveals:
“This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.”
In this message, we expose how human traditions, denominational doctrines, philosophical ideas, and cultural opinions can create confusion, division, and error—leading believers away from the pure teachings of Christ.
1. Where Confusion Comes From (James 3:15–16)
The Bible makes it clear that confusion is the fruit of:
Earthly thinking
Human reasoning
Pride
Strife
Doctrines built on man’s authority instead of God’s Word

2. Christ’s Doctrine — Not Man’s (John 7:16–17)
Jesus Himself declares: “My doctrine is not mine, but His that sent Me.”
