2025/07/13: Living Buddha Lian Sheng Exposition on the Surangama Sutra (High King Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva 高王觀世音菩薩) Homa at Rainbow Temple

High King Avalokitesvara instructed Grandmaster that, ''In case of emergency, one need not recite my entire sutra.'' The High King Avalokitesvara Sutra is originally quite brief. ''But in a crisis, one need only recite the name of my sutra.'' She instructed me that, ''Reciting just the name 'High King Avalokitesvara Sutra' in itself will suffice.'' Upon hearing one's recitation of the sutra name ''High King Avalokitesvara Sutra'', whatever the difficulty or suffering one is experiencing, High King Avalokitesvara will immediately come to one's rescue.

By reciting just the sutra name ''High King Avalokitesvara Sutra'' before a Buddhist shrine, one becomes purified.
By reciting the name ''High King Avalokitesvara Sutra'' while visualizing that one's head becomes white, one's head is purified. Recite the name ''High King Avalokitesvara Sutra'' again, and one's neck is purified. Recite the name ''High King Avalokitesvara Sutra'' one more time, andone's upper torso including the arms is purified. Recite the name ''High King Avalokitesvara Sutra'' once more, andone's lower torso is purified. Recite the name ''High King Avalokitesvara Sutra'' again, and the area above one's knees is completely purified. Recite the name ''High King Avalokitesvara Sutra'' one final time and one's calves and feet are completely purified.

By reciting the name of the sutra in this way every morning, one's entire body is purified. This is an expedient method. High King Avalokitesvara said, ''One should recite my sutra's name every morning.'' She told me that, by doing this, one's entire body will be purified.
