Описание к видео SoMAS - Species Redistributions Driven By Climate Velocity

Marina Sanz-Martín from the Spanish Institute of Oceanography speaks to SoMAS at the Oceans, Sustainability, and Atmospheres Colloquium on Friday April 5, 2024 on the topic "Species redistributions driven by climate velocity: Unexpected demersal species shifts in the W Mediterranean Sea."

Dr. Marina Sanz-Martín, a postdoctoral researcher visiting from the Spanish Institute of Oceanography and working with the lab of Dr. Lesley Thorne, has an extensive experience studying the effects of climate change on marine ecosystems. Marina's work focuses on shifting spatio-temporal patterns of commercial species driven by climate change in order to improve sub-regional scientific knowledge and move to adaptative and climate resilient management at the appropriate scales.
