Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, is one of the most powerful people in the world. It seems everybody has an opinion about him, but how much do you really know about him and his background? In this video we’ll delve deeply into Putin’s history, early life and back-story, from his birth in a St. Petersburg slum under the repressive Soviet system to his accession as the leader of Russia on the very last day of 1999. Hopefully you’ll gain an understanding of who he is, where he comes from and the forces that have shaped his life.
