A heartless duches sentences Jane, who claims her innocence, to a very horrible death: to be burned as a witch...From the horrific dungeon she is lead through the streets by her deathsman and a priest, lampooned by a merciless mob. There is no escape for the poor victim as she gets tied to a gigantic cross -in a few moments holy flames will clean her evil soul once and forever...
This video leads us back at 1280, in the dark age of witch-burnings. It was filmed at authentic gritty locations in Germany and Austria, and the robes as well of the main characters as of the numerous actors, performing an impressive mob with torches, were designed according to original medieval costumes to create an authentic nightmarish atmosphere.
"Carmina Celtica" is released as a studio version on the Celtica-album "Steamphonia" and as a live version on the double CD & DVD "Live at Montelago".
