I've been thinking of doing this questline system for over 3 years, with one variation that i did back in 2022 on a pve server.

the first version worked on vending machines and notes, players just kept changing notes from vending machines for their rewards and instructions, but that was confusing as players ended up with multiple notes and so on...

since facepunch added conveyor belts i've been trying to figure out how to make a seamless questline thats vanilla, and this is what i came up with. I'm by no means a electricity god so don't expect any wizardry.
this questline features unskippable quests (player has to progress linearly, has to finish quest 1 to start quest 2) npc dialogues (with casettes), and fully automatic progression. the new addition of mannequins makes this even better and more immersive. with rumors of animated mannequins this could get even better.

this is just a showcase of the electricity behind my upcoming build for christmas 2025.
