Ambient 147 - 2 Hours of Generative Modular Synthesis

Описание к видео Ambient 147 - 2 Hours of Generative Modular Synthesis

Nearly 2 hours of ambient generative modular synthesis, suitable for relaxation, sleep, concentration, meditation.

Technical notes (what's going on here):

This began as an experiment with the Resonator algorithm on the Disting mk4. Once I found a satisfying tone, attenuated by the Triplatt, I established tonality by sending random voltage from the 2hp RND (displayed on the O'Tool scope) to the Disting through Intellijel Scales (quantizing to three notes in two octaves, hence 1-4-7). I found the Disting's output sounded a little too bright at times, so I sent it through the low pass filter on the Intellijel Polaris (cutoff modulated by an LFO from the Intellijel Quadrax). The filtered signal then goes to the Antumbra Smog (micro-Clouds) for some texture and stereo imaging. I gave the density parameter on the Smog some modulation from the "smooth" output on the RND. The stereo signal is then sent out via the Befaco Out v3. Because people ask... the case is a Structure EP-208 from Pittsburgh Modular and patch cables are Nazca Noodles, also from Pittsburgh Modular. Feel free to ask if you have any further questions about the technical aspects!

This patch is entirely generative--not composed, performed, or sequenced. It will go on forever and does not repeat in any systematic way, though the pitch, timbre, and tempo of the notes are constrained by various parameters established by the patching and settings on the different participating modules.
