Catch and Cook- Lobsters, Abalone and Octopus. South Coast Trifecta!

Winter 2024, we hit the NSW South Coast for a shore dive on the hunt for Eastern Rock Lobster (Sagmariasus verreauxi) and Blacklip Abalone (Haliotis rubra), and score a nice haul (plus a nice gloomy octopus- (Octopus tetricus)).

The video finishes off with a cook-up and a couple of simple tips if you are new to cooking up abs and crays; so hang around to the end if that's up your alley. Sorry, no octopus cook-up this time!

Just a couple of casual divers having a great day out chasing some of the best-tasting seafood you can get your hands on (if you're quick enough). I throw in a bit of tasteless humour too, but I'm a dad so I have an excuse.
