How Starstreak High Velocity Missiles take down aerial threats

The Starstreak High Velocity Missile (HVM) is designed to take out any threats posed by high-performance, low-flying aircraft and helicopters.

The weapons system has been used in Ukraine since 2022, with Thales, the weapons manufacturer, announcing it was doubling its production as a result earlier this year.

BFBS Forces News spoke to the managing director of Thales Belfast about what makes Starstreak so effective.
