The inauguration of various student clubs at VSSA was a grand success, marked on 21/9/24 by the presence of eminent personalities from different fields. The event included the inauguration of the following clubs:
1. English Literary Club by Dr. D.S. Prashob Mahadevan, Assistant Professor and IQAC Coordinator, N.V.K.S.D. College of Education , Attoor. His insightful address emphasized the importance of language proficiency in shaping the intellectual growth of students.
2. Drama and Music Club by Dr. B. Saviourdas, Retired Director of the SF Stream, St. Jude’s College, Thoothoor, and presently the Director of Malankara School of Commerce. Dr. Saviourdas, a renowned dramatist, lyricist, and motivational speaker, brought his artistic flair to the inauguration, inspiring students to explore the performing arts.
3. Hindi Literary Club by Ms. Camila Risa M.S., a self-reliant individual dedicated to supporting disabled girls like herself. With her passion for creative writing, reading, and podcasting, Ms. Camila shared her experiences and encouraged students to pursue their literary interests.
4. Heritage Club by Dr. K.P. Kannan, Director of Physical Education at N.V.K.S.D. College of Education, Attoor, Kanniyakumari District.
Dr. Kannan’s focus was on preserving and promoting local traditions and cultural values, inspiring students to participate actively in heritage-related activities.
The event also coincided with the World Peace Day celebrations. Students showcased their talents through various language activities such as speeches, tongue twisters, and performances in dance, drama, and music. Additionally, they engaged in traditional games, reflecting the cultural diversity and creative spirit of our student body.
The inauguration ceremony was a vibrant and enriching experience for all involved, fostering a sense of community and encouraging students to explore new horizons in literature, performing arts, and heritage preservation.
