Released in 1984 and directed by Joe Dante, Gremlins is one of the decade’s defining movies with its wildly original blend of comedy and horror.

The film follows a young boy named Billy (Zach Gilligan) as he receives an adorable, mysterious pet named Gizmo for Christmas.

With Gizmo being a Mogwai there are certain rules for his care - do not expose the mogwai to light, especially sunlight, do not let it come into contact with water, and above all, never feed it after midnight.

Inadvertently he breaks the rules and chaos ensues, as an army of Gremlins are let loose wreaking havoc throughout the town.
