Antique Radio Repair part 2

Описание к видео Antique Radio Repair part 2

Some more helpful tips in repairing an Antique radio.

I bought high quality electrolytic capacitors from tubesandmore.com. I don't trust the Chinese made caps. I bought exact value replacement axial lead caps from justradios.com. I bought resistors and from Mouser.com and just radios.com. Instead of 1/4 Watt I used double the rating at 1/2 Watt. For 1 Watt I used 2 Watt. Always check the DC Working Voltage of the parts and the schematic and get the equalent or higher.

Disclaimer: Antique Tube radios contain LETHAL voltages that can and will KILL YOU. Please read up on safety procedures. To avoid fire hazard, If radio wiring is too crumbled it should be replaced or covered with 600 volt heat shrink. If you are unsure. Take the radio to a qualified service person. Thanks!
