Location: Wacol, Brisbane

I was about to leave and head home for the night when I saw a random road and thought I would head down for a quick look to see what is around. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this. The mum with a joey in the pouch, but the head was just popping out. Normally, I see feet or the tail, but perfectly just popped out. I jumped out of the car, gently asked the roo for a photo, and was able to get this shot. Very happy human.

Fun Fact: Eastern grey kangaroos, like all marsupials, give birth to very small, underdeveloped young called joeys, which are initially the size of a jellybean.
