Do you want to sound more interesting or attractive and fix your monotone voice? Here are the 3 techniques or steps to get rid of monotone voice.

I have a confession! Back in University, I dosed off in my lecture halls for so many times. Even after stepping into working life, my mind switched to sleeping mode unintentionally during some training and presentations.

When I ponder on the reasons… other than the fact “I love sleeping”, I would say the robotic voice or #MonotoneVoice of the presenters/lecturers hypnotizes me! Do you agree with me?

In public speaking, we need vocal variety in our delivery. #VocalVariety is the variation in sound created by speaking. It includes pitch, volume and pace.

Evaluating based on these three elements, we can easily tell that robotic voice or monotone voice means having the same pace, same pitch and same volume throughout.

What if we can vary our pace, volume and pitch appropriately at the certain point of time in our speeches, we would definitely sound much more interesting and be able to hold audience attention.

So, how to train our vocal muscles to do so and fix monotone voice?

Working on the three elements mentioned above; fast and slow pace; loud and soft voice; high and low pitch wherever appropriate.
