It’s BACK TO SCHOOL season and for our family of 7, that means a huge haul for my FOUR school-age kids — a high schooler (14), middle schooler (11), third grader (8), and kindergartener (5)! 🎒👟 This year is a big transition year for us, and I decided to make it extra special by taking each kid shopping one-on-one. No corralling cats through the mall this year, haha!

BOYS vs. GIRLS shopping — let me tell you, my son was the easiest! One stop at Dick’s Sporting Goods and we were done — shoes, soccer gear, and his entire wardrobe in one trip. My 5-year-old was the second easiest; Once Upon A Child (kids’ thrift), Target, and boom — done! She scored the most clothes and was over the moon about it.

The older girls? Well… that was a journey. 😂 Finding school-appropriate bottoms that actually fit is like hunting for treasure. Pants that fit the waist but not the length (or vice versa) are a real struggle, but Abercrombie, Aeropostale, and American Eagle came through — even if finding the right sizes in-store was nearly impossible!

We hit Tampa Premium Outlets, International Plaza Mall (Hollister, Lululemon, Alo, Free People, Anthropologie, Zara, etc.), our local mall (H&M, Dick’s), thrift stores, Target, and TJ Maxx (amazing lunchbox finds!). Back to school is so much more than clothes — I also stocked up on lunch containers, breakfast prep helpers, after-school snack solutions, and learning toys.
