Irma Vep - Meta Cinema and Its Significance - The Most Underrated Show of 2022

Irma Vep (2022) is one of the best narrative shows released this year. Its blend of meta cinematic concepts and wonderful acting by Alicia Vikander leads it to be a worthy remake of the original 1996 feature. Olivier Assayas returns to direct the series, and I go in depth to compare both the characters of Mira Harberg and Maggie Cheung, as well as all of the other aspects that relate to both. It is the best example of meta cinema in recent history.
