Sam Kieth is a comic book artist and writer who many know from his popular 90s Image Comics series The Maxx, but his career has spanned indie titles to mainstream and back. This video looks at his inking and illustrating career on books from Comico and DC and then his roller coast ride in the 80s and 90s on comics like Sandman and Wolverine. His more recent work is much more introspective and emotional, usually told from a female-centric point of view. This video looks at his art techniques, makes some comparisons with his contemporaries and also looks at his awkward life history that impacts his storytelling.
