"Жаран Цагаан Адуу" - Sixty White Horses (Song about Dzungar Genocide)

The song "Sixty White Horses" is an expression of the feelings of the people of the remote regions of Mongolia, it is a sad song that arose from their life, but it is interpreted in several ways by historians and researchers. This song can be connected with the sad story of the massacre of Dzungar Mongols, including men, women and children, who opposed the Manchurian (Qing Dynasty) invasion policy, and the dispersal of surrendered citizens. Also, the majority agree on the version of mourning and lamentation of the minorities who live far away in the borderlands of their country and miss their compatriots. More than when and where the origin of the song originated, the ideas and the sadness it expresses seem to tell one thing about our society today. The song "Sixty White Horses" is a song of the Tuvan people (for this song it's "Kongurei") missing their broken brothers and sisters, (and not only Mongols and Tuvans sing this song, Buryats too) and the song "Sixty White Horses" was sung together by the group "Khosogtyun" and long singer S. Tsogtsaikhan.
