Tito Schipa sings "Ombra Mai Fu" ("Largo") from Handel's "Serse"/"Xerxes." I cannot recommend buying a CD released by "STEMRA." Today on the way home from work I popped into the HMV and bought their $12 2 CD set "Golden Voices of the Century" which has 35 songs and arias sung by about a dozen artists and no info (orchestra, conductor, recording year etc.) on the recordings are included. I presume this is Schipa's December 23, 1926 recording of this aria with Rosario Bourdon conducting. If I am wrong please let me know.
