The Cathedral Quarter in Belfast is an amazing place to visit - part of that and part of visiting anywhere in Ireland is the artists here - we are very lucky! When it comes to art, we all feel excited and plan to go anywhere so that we could actually get closer to that type of art. In Belfast, Northern Ireland, there are a lot of places that one could visit, those which are related to the historical and cultural places which tourists always head to and there are also those which might be more related to art and one of them is Belfast murals which are found in the Cathedral Quarter (   • Cathedral Quarter in Belfast; Cobbled Stre...  ).

There are different things that one could do in the Cathedral Quarter in Belfast, which include exploring the whole place and seeing the Commercial Court which is found there as well (   • Commercial Court Belfast, Cathedral Quarte...  ) as well as checking the different restaurants and old bars which are also located there; one of the most famous is The Dirty Onion Pub which is in the oldest timber framed building to be found in Belfast (   • Dirty Onion Pub; One of Belfast's Old Timb...  ). Adding to these things which one could do in Belfast, it is always beneficial to check these murals and pieces of art that are also found in the Cathedral Quarter and which we believe were created with the best artists in town.

The Cathedral Quarter is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Belfast and that is enough to explain why tourists love to walk through its streets but in addition to that, it offers people the chance to enjoy the beauty of art through those graffiti pieces found on the walls of the streets and even on the closed doors of the shops - so if you got the chance to walk through the streets when the shops are not yet open, that's a plus.

There are different murals in the Cathedral Quarter for one to explore which all started in 2013 when Adam Turkington, the founder of Seedhead Arts, decided to bring artists together and give them the chance to transfer the streets of the Cathedral Quarter to this piece of art - since there are more than 40 artists who are behind this beautiful transformation for the place.

In the video, we brought to you part of this beautiful walk and which is the Dark Horse Courtyard which is not just drawn all over the walls but is also decorated with those yellow umbrellas which are hanged on the ceiling. In addition to this part which we would have stayed in longer to expect every single thing drawn on the wall, there was also the courtyard classic which is featuring a wall-to-wall collage and framed window-like pop culture; we loved the place. There are actually lots of art pieces - murals - scattered all around the walls in the Cathedral Quarter but we decided to focus on these ones this time by bringing them to you.

We have been previously to the Cathedral Quarter to see this mural which was drawn by MTO - one famous graffiti artist - and which was given the name "Son of Protagoras" which after being created became one of the touristic places that tourists coming to visit Belfast always consider checking before leaving the city (   • The Son of Protagoras Mural - Belfast by M...  ).

In addition to this one, there is also the famous "Peace Wall" which is also found in Belfast and which is part of those different murals that are scattered all around the city (   • PEACE WALL IN BELFAST - Beautiful Wall Mur...  ) as well as the "Tall Ships" mural in Belfast which was drawn by the 16 year old boy Daniel Hamilton in the competition that was held to welcome the return of the tall ships to Belfast that he managed to win and which was transferred to the wall by the local Irish mural artist Danny Devenny (   • Tall Ships Mural Belfast - Rotterdam Bar B...  ).

The Cathedral Quarter is definitely the right place to head to when it comes to graffiti and murals because you will find what will please your eyes in every single corner and not just that, but you will also get the chance to visit some touristic places there that include St. Anne's Cathedral which is believed to be the reason behind giving it the name of the Cathedral Quarter (   • St. Anne's Cathedral - Belfast Northern Ir...  ) as well as lots of pubs, bars, restaurants, and hotels which might be old enough but with a modern twist to the things it serve and the service it provides, such as the Merchant Hotel which is also found there residing in one of the old buildings of this area (   • The Merchant Hotel Belfast, Warring Street...  ).
