常滑焼　パンパン製法（三代目山田陶山）　Tokoname-yaki　The tapping method　by Yamada TOZAN The third.

パンパン製法とは、陶芸の技法の一つです。
ロクロや手びねりとは違い、粘土の板を叩くことで成型していきます。
もともとは中国江蘇省の宜興の技術で、明治時代に常滑に伝えられました。
現在、常滑でも技術を習得している人が少ないため、資料として残します。

実演しているのは、日本六古窯の一つ愛知県常滑焼の窯元「三代目山田陶山」氏です。

The tapping method is one of the techniques of pottery.
Unlike a potter's wheel and hand-bending, it is made by tapping a clay plate.
Originally, the technology of Yixing in Jiangsu Province of China was introduced to Tokoname in the Meiji era.
Currently, there are few people in Tokoname who have mastered the technology, so I will leave it as a document.

Demonstrating by "Yamada TOZAN, the third", a potter of Tokoname-yaki, one of the six old kilns in Japan.
