Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday said a discussion on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Bihar cannot take place in the Lok Sabha as the matter is sub-judice. Citing parliamentary rules, Rijiju stated that issues pending before the Supreme Court cannot be discussed in the House. He also stressed that autonomous bodies like the Election Commission should not be debated in Parliament. His remarks came amid Opposition protests demanding a discussion on the electoral revision issue.
