SERB DST Changluk KVK LEH Movie

A 5 days tour was organized to visit the nomadic camp of Kharnak Dadh and Ponkanau, Samad Rockchsan w.e.f 9/122/2020 to 15/12/2020 under SERB DST Project entitled "Production Improvement of Changpa Nomads of Ladakh", The team comprised of Dr. Khurshid A Dar (Sr Scientist Agrostology), Dr Sabia Asmat (Scientist Home Science), Dr F A Shahkhan (Scientist Agroforestry), Miss Bushra Khan (Junior Research Fellow) lead by Dr Feroz Din Sheikh, Principal Investigator of the project/Head KVK Leh. During the visit more than 200 animals were treated for different ailment. Essential veterinary medicines and inventories were distributed to the nomads free of cost under the project. Around 1820 Changthangi sheep belonging to the project beneficiaries were tagged using All Flex tags. The team experts organized various training camps. The teams has worked at an altitude of more than 15000ft above sea level with minimum temperature of -32 degree centegrade.
