IPL Retentions 2025: KKR CEO Reveals Why Shreyas Iyer Was NOT Retained by the Franchise

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) CEO Venky Mysore has revealed why it is that the side did not retain skipper Shreyas Iyer ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

Mysore said the player himself was keen to enter the auction pool and test his value, something the team agreed to despite wanting to retain their captain.

There are reportedly a number of teams interested in signing the 2024 IPL-winning skipper, and he is expected to go for big bucks.
