Celebrating the opening of the retrospective exhibition "Global Citizen: The Architecture of Moshe Safdie," the Skirball's celebrated architect explores his career as a practicing architect, urban planner, and educator. In this lecture, Safdie discusses his comprehensive and humane design philosophy, taking an in-depth look at several of his cultural, educational, and civic projects around the world. These include Habitat '67, the Salt Lake City Public Library, Yad Vashem Holocaust History Museum, Marina Bay Sands, and the Skirball Cultural Center.

This program took place at the Skirball on October 20, 2013. The introductions were made by Robert Kirschner, Skirball Museum Director; and Uri D. Herscher, Skirball Founding President and CEO. Safdie's lecture begins at 7:30.
