Today I’m continuing my gel print collage adventure with a beautiful one-pull layered print—and this one starts with a magical image transfer. I’m using one of my favourite door photos from Venice, and the moment it lifts off the gel plate is just stunning. The texture, the softness, the mystery—it sets the perfect tone.
From there, I layer in handmade collage papers, building soft edges and rich texture. The final pull, using iridescent bronze, ties everything together with a luminous glow. When I mount the finished print onto canvas, it transforms into a complete mixed media collage painting—full of story, depth, and atmosphere.
This process blends intention with spontaneity, and it’s always a surprise what emerges. Come see how one image, one plate, and a handful of paper layers become something truly special.
