1)Experimental method is the most Scientific method in psychology and is carried out in controlled situation.Thus the results obtained are highly objective, valid and reliable.

2)It is replicate , hence the results could be verified

3.)It allows the experimenter to establish cause and effect relationship between the variables.

4)It can be used to test the hypothesis and develop theories.

5)It provides an adequate information about the Problem.

DEMIRITS:

1.)It is costly and time consuming method.

2)All psychological phenomenon or situations can not be studied through Experimental method.

3)Every person or a teacher can not Conduct experiment without specialized knowledge, training and skills.

4)whether the results and findings obtained from the Experiments conducted on animals and birds can be applied to human beings is still debatable among psychologists.
