12 Congress MLAs in Telangana seek merger with TRS Legislature Party

Hyderabad (Telangana), Jun 06 (ANI): After facing a defeat in assembly elections in Telangana in December, Congress is going through tough times. Earlier today, 12 Congress MLAs in Telangana met Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and sought merger of the group with ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). Uttam Kumar Reddy, who was elected to Lok Sabha recently, has also resigned from Huzurnagar Assembly constituency. As per the rule 2/3 of the elected members are required for the merger of any political party.
