Weighing scale calibration - How to calibrate weighing instruments: https://hubs.ly/Q01jclrv0

In this video we show you how to make a professional calibration of weighing scales.
This video is based on the blog article and related white paper on weighing scale calibration.

Weighing scales are widely used in process industry. And as all measurement devices, also weighing scales need to be calibrated regularly, to maintain sufficient accuracy and traceability.
There are different regulations for the weighing instrument calibration, such as EURAMET Calibration Guide, NIST Handbook 44 and OIML standards.

In this video we will go though the different tests that needs to be done when calibration weighing instruments. These include following test:
Eccentricity test – this is to test if the scale gives the same measurement results when the weight is placed on different locations on the weighing pan.
Repeatability test – this is to test that the scale gives the same reading when the same weight is being measured several times.
Weighing test – this is to calibrate the whole measurement range of the weighing scale, in several calibration points.
Minimum weight test – this is to find out the smallest load that can be measured accurately. The US Pharmacopeia (Chapter 41) and the EURAMET Calibration Guide 18 (Appendix G) suggest a little different approach for this test.
