Canon G7x mkII Vlogging Camera a 6 Month Review - Gear Matters ep1

This is the first in a new series i am doing called "Gear Matters" where i review and show why i think that gear is more important than people would have you believe.

In this episode i talk about the pocket size Canon G7x mkII and if it still can cut it in 2018 with all the high tech 4k cameras flooding the market.

No matter if your a season pro or amateur a like, digital or even analog shooter, we all rely on gear. Be it the computers or phones we use to share our work, scanners for digitising our film scans or even a basic camera to record YouTube video we all rely in some part on gear.

You can be a purist all you like, but even if you shoot an 80 year old large format camera it still comes under gear. We make our choice for the gear we use in many ways, but when people say to me "Gear Doesn't Matter" or "the camera doesn't make a difference" or when photographers get annoyed when people say "your pictures are great, you must have a great camera". I laugh because i know all too well that in part it is true as yes the camera or "GEAR" does make a difference.
